Blake Cather
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in business and a minor in economics. I started with Edward Jones in an extensive training and coaching program that prepares candidates for their career as a financial advisor. This six-month program, along with training that our firm has offered throughout my career, helps me stay on top of what's changing the financial services industry. Since then, I have had the opportunity to sharpen my skills and earn the ChFC®, AAMS™, and CRPC™ designations to help serve my clients. I am also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, which I earned after fulfilling experience requirements, extensive education requirements and passing a national exam. My Senior Branch Office Administrator, Sherel Thomas, is a second-generation Edward Jones associate and has been with the firm for 13 years. Sherel has built deep relationships with many branch clients and ensures that each person receives the highest level of service. Sherel and husband, Ken, have ten grandchildren who keep them busy with ballgames and babysitting.

I often meet with potential clients and retirement is their main priority, but sometimes that coincides with a vacation home or R.V. purchase, education savings, life insurance and long-term care strategies or estate considerations. Some may also need tax efficiency and not know it. Working closely with your CPA, attorney and other professionals, I can help develop the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family. Our team has an established process to determine your financial needs as well as tailor solutions that are specific to you. We will take the time to get to know you, and listening to what matters most to you, we will partner with you and keep you informed and in control every step of the way. I understand the financial world can seem like foreign territory, and that is why I spend one-on-one time with my clients to help ensure they get the attention they deserve.
