About Our Presenter  

Trisha Barita practices in the area of Labor and Employment Law. Ms. Barita primarily represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including counseling, training, drafting of policies, procedures, and agreements, and litigation. Ms. Barita has represented employers before state and federal agencies and has defended employers in lawsuits brought in state and federal courts. She provides counseling and representation for employers defending claims of workplace discrimination,  harassment, retaliation, whistleblower violations, leave violations, and wage and hour claims arising under state and federal law. Ms. Barita also drafts handbooks, employee agreement documents, seeks enforcement of and defense against enforcement of non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements. Ms. Barita also has another venture with a blog and podcast called legal skinny providing an educational resource for the employer. When she is not working with employers and HR professionals, she enjoys participating in BBQ or Gumbo contests around Texas with her husband and spending time baking with her twin daughters....  More >><< Less
