In the year 2020, the Baytown Symphony Orchestra celebrates the 250th birthday of the great titan of orchestral music, Ludwig van Beethoven. What better way to pay tribute to this beloved composer than through his music. We embark on a journey of discovery—spanning two orchestral seasons—delving into the most beloved orchestral works of this inestimable composer, culminating in a grand conclusion in December of 2020.
Our journey was foreshadowed in this season’s opening concert, A New World, with Beethoven’s beloved Egmont Overture. And now, we Leap into Beethoven (February 29, 2020) with the Coriolan overture and Symphony No. 7, a favorite of concertgoers everywhere.
Please join us as we revel in the beauty of Beethoven’s masterworks and support this year-long endeavor to share his genius with the Baytown Community by inviting your friends, family, and neighbors to attend Leap into Beethoven on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 7:30pm in Lee College’s beautiful Performing Arts Center.
